Working Together to Help Every Child Thrive
At our school, we value strong partnerships with parents and carers. Our Parent Association helps to bring families, staff and the wider school community together, creating opportunities to share ideas, support school events and make a positive difference for our children and young people.
We know that when families are involved in school life, children benefit. Working together helps to strengthen communication, celebrate achievements and support every child to feel happy, confident and ready to learn.
How parents and carers can get involved:
- Attend school events, workshops and information sessions.
- Share ideas and feedback to help strengthen our school community.
- Join activity sessions where parents, carers, staff and learners take part together, such as cooking, dodgeball or other hands-on activities.
- Support fundraising activities and community events.
- Volunteer to help with occasional activities, where appropriate.
- Encourage other families to get involved.
- Work with school staff to support positive experiences for pupils and families.
- Find out more about family learning or parenting support opportunities available locally.
- Speak to the school if you would like advice, guidance or additional family support.
About the Parent Association
The Parent Association provides an important link between home and school. It gives parents and carers a voice, offers a welcoming space to share ideas and helps us work together to support the best possible experiences for our pupils.
The group may support a range of activities, including fundraising, school celebrations, community events and projects that enhance school life. These contributions help to build a strong sense of community while supporting resources and opportunities for pupils.
All parents and carers are warmly encouraged to take part. Whether you can offer regular support or help occasionally, your involvement is valued and appreciated.
If you would like to find out more about the Parent Association, please contact Mrs K Ameson, Family Support Worker, through the school office info@thelinkacademy.org.uk. Alternatively, please contact us directly to discover more.
