As you are aware, your child will be sitting their GCSE examinations during 2023 Summer term. In preparation for these exams there will be a period of PPE examinations taking place from 14^th November 2022 for roughly two weeks. This will allow your child to gain valuable experience sitting examinations under formal conditions and will also inform us about how your child is progressing in each of their subjects. Exam performance will then support teachers in planning the final months of lesson content. The performance of your child will also give teachers accurate information to be able to predict grades. These predicted grades will be welcomed by post-16 education and training providers as your child is applying to providers for their next phase of education.

Please find enclosed a copy of the PPE examination timetable. Your child will only sit examinations in their relevant subjects. Upgrade sessions will not be running during the exam window. As a result, if afternoon exams finish after 2.15pm, pupils will be dismissed directly from school site.
