Sustaining Success at The Link Academy

Year 11 learners at The Link Academy celebrated their results today.

Principal, Emma Edwards-Morgan said: “We are delighted to see a set of results that yet again show an improvement in GCSE outcomes for our learners! English and Maths grades at 5+ have improved and we are ecstatic to see a 5% increase in learners achieving the highest grades 7 to 9 in both their English and Maths. This set of results will represent a 3rd consecutive year of positive progress for our Academy, showing the consistent impact of high-quality teaching on outcomes for our young people. Other subjects which have excelled this year include Combined Science, Triple Science, French, Music, Physical Education, Photography and Religious Studies. Showcasing the real strength of our vast range of curriculum subjects. Congratulations to the class of 2024!”

Jo Higgins, Chief Executive Officer said: “This year, 2024 outcomes are the best that have ever been achieved by schools in our Trust. All schools improved on last year’s results and more learners than ever achieved the higher grades, 7 to 9. I am delighted that all our schools are sustaining success enabling our learners to have the best life chances possible. The Trust’s aspirant culture and positive climate for learning are strong features of The Link Academy and it is great to see that this translates into such positive results. Today, it is wonderful to see the rewards for our learners’ hard work and determination to dream big and achieve. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff for their ongoing support and commitment to our learners and to their parents and carers for working with us to ensure that our young people can flourish. Congratulations and best wishes to our year 11 learners as they move onto the next phase of their education, and I wish them every success for their future.”
