Local Advisory Committees
Great Boards build, grow and sustain great academy trusts.
Dudley Academies Trust welcomes interest and applications from individuals who are passionate about improving the educational outcomes for the young people in Dudley.
We are looking for individuals who are over 18 years of age and have the skills and time commitment to help drive school improvement. Advisory members can come from any walk of life and we are particularly keen to recruit individuals with experience in business or community leadership. All board members give their time on a voluntary, non-paid basis. Whatever your background you will be able to demonstrate a proven ability to deal with complex issues, shape opinions and exercise good judgment. You do not need to have a child at a Trust school but you should be prepared to fulfil the following expectations:
- work as part of the School’s Advisory Board to raise standards, so that every child achieves their potential;
- demonstrate commitment by getting to know the school and becoming involved in school life and activities, supporting the school with parents and stakeholders and in the wider community;
- prepare for meetings so you are well informed, and able to make significant contributions;
- recognise the status of the Trust and the concept of collective responsibility and respect confidentiality and the need to act with circumspection.
If you feel you can make a difference to the educational outcomes for our young people and you want to join us to help deliver our vision for Dudley Academies Trust please complete the Expression of Interest Form.
